The ETHS Booster Club promotes school spirit by funding and supporting extracurricular activities that foster greater wellness, connection, and engagement with the ETHS community. Unfortunately there is very little compensation for those that work in this department that go above and beyond to provide food for the children who go to school at Evanston Township High School. I felt like I was unfairly evaluated and expected to survive on my own with very little professional support within my department. Unfortunately, I felt that my supervisor was not helpful in helping me be successful as a classroom teacher and helping me grow as a professional. In my experience, the chain of command was very sacred at ETHS.
Some supervisors are truly visionary educational leaders who break down barriers for minority students, teachers, and colleagues some are the complete opposite.
